New Cards Made in the last few days

This card is made from My Craft Studio A Classic Christmas CD Looking Out, 8"x8" card blank and gold mirror card and I decoupaged the window. 

This one I have made for my friend for her fiances birthday, as they have been to Egypt on holiday I thought this would be a good one for him. I was originally looking for a romantic man card but found this on www.forevermemoriesforyou.co.uk another of Tina`s fantastic designs. I cut out as per instructions and added own sentiments.

This one is made using one of the background papers from My Craft Studio Papercrafts Library Vol 6 Men-y Happy Returns. The lady I made it for wanted the picture of her son`s jeep on it. So I cut out the jeep using the scissors tool in MCS Pro. Its the 1st time I have used it and it is brilliant. I printed off 2 sheets of the background paper and cut to just under 8"x8" and matt and layered onto gold mirror board and attached to a white card blank. Attached the jeep with foam pads then cut out a smaller piece of background paper and cut out an apereture which I attached acetate to the back and folded 2 pieces of acetate in a concertina and attached to the edge of the frame and mounted onto the card. Made a box for the card to sit in and finished of the card with peel off borders and sentiments.

Busy Busy Sunday

Well not stopped today. Went shopping and bought a laser printer so when I got home I had to re-arrange everything to get it next to computer. Then I decided to arrange the furniture in the lounge as we are having our flat refurbished starting next week, new kitchen, new bathroom, new windows, new water tank, new heaters and Im back on night shift so its going to be a very dusty and tiring upheaval, not looking forward to the refurb but looking forward to when its finished, then I can get OH to re-decorate and get a new suite, new carpet, all new stuff in the kitchen, new curtains, new stuff for bathroom and guess what PIGS CAN FLY. So there wont be much cardmaking in the next few weeks.
Tried the foiling with laser printer and iron, 1st attempt was rubbish, 2nd attempt excellent but I think I will dig out my laminator see how I get on with that.  Had a play with the Cameo, its great to do a single clear cut instead of double cut that didnt cut right through.
Anyway going to bed now.

My First Blog

Hi there
Well this is my 1st blog post and I suppose like most people what do I put. So here goes. I am a cardmaker so in the next few weeks I will be adding photos of cards I have made. My 1st photos are cards made from Hunkydory. I also have a Silhouette/CraftRobo which I am upgrading to a Silhouette Cameo ASAP.
